Tanya Russell
Tanya Russell has been sculpting for over 30 years, having done an apprenticeship with her parents, who are both sculptors, Edwin Russell FRBS and Lorne McKean FRBS. Over the years she has taken on many public and private commissions , nationally and internationally, with many large pieces around London. She loves sculpting, animals, people and abstract forms. Depending on the needs of the art work or of the client she enjoys sculpting in both realisic and abstract styles . She loves taking on commissions as they always bring new challenges in meeting the entire requirements of the client in a fully creative way. Recently she has been doing allot of work for Battersea Dogs and Cats home sculpting a range of dogs for clients to raise money for the home. She is founder/principal of the Art Academy in London Bridge, which specialises in teaching a broad range of sculpture skills, to full-time Diploma students and part time students, as well as teaching drawing and painting.
