Peter Wood
Peter Wood has been making traditional and contemporary Windsor Chairs for over 20 years. 15 years ago, he set up ‘Greenwood Days’, a centre in the middle of The National Forest, where he and other craft workers teach a range of traditional woodland crafts. The centre runs public courses from 1 day workshops to week long courses, courses for local authorities and other bodies and specialist days from corporate events/team building days to birthday events for young and old. Peter also runs creative projects in schools exploring the art and education opportunities available in school grounds.
He will be demonstrating the traditional craft of pole-lathe turning (greenwood turning); giving adults and children the chance to try their hand at turning, using a range of chisels finally producing a turned item to take away.
