What the Press, Visitors and Demonstrators say about Art in Action

Beverley Saunders, Popular Crafts, July 2005 ". A very high standard of arts and crafts at this regular celebration event. There was just so much to see that two days are really needed to get around the entire festival, especially if you want to have a go at some of the selection of interesting practical classes, attend the fascinating lectures, demonstrations and even concerts. Whole families can enjoy Art in Action as a great day out in lovely grounds with a huge variety of beautiful things to see, many extraordinarily interesting people to meet, delicious food and drink to enjoy, fine musicians and singers to listen to and a large, high quality Craft Market to browse through."

Visitors:
?The most superbly organised exhibition I have ever attended. Friends who attended for the first time were overwhelmed by the occasion.?

?Once again I had numerous interesting conversations with exhibiting artists who were more than willing to share their skills and knowledge, personal aims and philosophical ideas within their artwork.?

?If only you could run the country ? what a lovely place it would be!?

Demonstrators:
?It gives me hope of a better life and reassures me that what I recognise and enjoy is true and valuable.?

?The level and extent of interest in the work was most encouraging and made a deep impression on everyone, who were made to feel valued by all the visitors and staff alike.?

?I returned to the workshop thoroughly invigorated and hope I have inspired people to develop their skills further.?

?As usual, Art in Action sets the gold standard for this type of event. The visitors are intelligent and enthusiastic, the setting is wonderful, but most of all, the willing team of volunteers made our visit to Waterperry most enjoyable.?
