How to Get There
Ceramics
Ceramics is the interplay of the elements of earth and fire. It is the potter’s journey to discover his/her particular approach to form, surface and firing. The Ceramics section presents a wide variety of styles, all fine examples of personal discovery and continual refinement by the artist. The aesthetics, the chemistry and the techniques are all demonstrated to promote deeper understanding of the unique processes that the artist has evolved.
This year the Ceramic artists will be examining where inspiration comes from and how it’s translated into artistic form. They’ll be bringing visual examples of what inspires them and discussing it with the public.
