Practical Classes – Traditional painting techniques (16+)

Duration: 1.5 hrs
An introduction to the minerals and earths that make up traditional pigments. Some pigments will be ground, there will be a demonstration of making of egg tempera, watercolour and oils. Painting from historic designs will follow working with egg tempera on a gesso ground. Finally, oil glazing will be demonstrated and practiced.
