Jewellery and Metalwork, at its most exceptional, is the fusion between the best that nature can offer and the finest creative powers of the skilled artist. This section will bring together many different techniques from both the United Kingdom and Europe using various metals, precious and semi-precious gemstones.

Barbara Christie was one of our greatest modern-day jewellers. She passed away on 2nd January 2013. Widely followed and admired for her striking creations made from the most unusual gemstones her pieces were whimsical, colourful and always dramatic.

To celebrate the life of Barbara and her long-standing relationship with Art in Action, an award in her name was created whereby the demonstrating jewellers could choose their favourite piece made by the other jewellers. The much-deserved winner was Louise Parry for her beautiful silver and gold clock.
