14 – Discovering Drawing: Jeffery Courtney

Drawing is the basic discipline of all the visual arts.  it is also fascinating, fun and connects you to the present like nothing else.  When you have really looked and made a drawing of something you will really begin to ‘see’.  Drawing wakes you up.

First day – we will consider the important factors of line, texture, shape and proportion.  We will try a number of exercises and different drawing techniques and experiment with different mediums, papers, etc.

Second day – we will look at light and shade and modelling in three dimensions.
