15 – Portrait Painting: Patrick Cullen

The human face has always been one of the most fascinating of subjects for artists.  Most challenging but most rewarding.  On the course we will look at porportion, tone values, structure and particularly colour and the effects of light.  We will also consider how to identify the distinguishing features of a face to get not only a likeness but also the character of the person.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee will be provided each day on arrival and in the afternoon.  Lunch – students can either bring their own lunch or at Waterperry there are delicious lunches at the Tea Shop.

If we have to cancel your course before it starts we will give you a full refund or you can choose to transfer to another advertised course if spaces are available. If you cancel your booking up to 21 days before the course begins, and do not chose to transfer to another advertised course you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel after that period the booking is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if we are able to fill the vacant place we will give you a 50% refund
