Kate, works with copper, zinc, silver and gold using sheet metal as a fine art canvas. She creates each piece layer by layer combining traditional Silversmithing techniques, inlay, engraving, patination, and gilding. Each piece is unique often telling a story and the work often incorporates hand blown glass details which trap partially hidden images and text. She will be demonstrating a range of these metalworking processes at Art in Action.
