Jon Cannon, author of books on religious architecture and presenter of BBC4s ‘How to Build a Cathedral’, will give two lectures. One uses the medieval cathedrals of England as ‘time machines’ on medieval history; the other is an overview of world religious architecture, showing how the buildings of each faith are shaped by its rites and tenets.
