oanna Migdal delights in the art of sundial making, demonstrating the process of designing, calculating and engraving a scientific instrument. Having visited the first Art in Action 40 years ago – she was so inspired and deeply moved by watching the silversmith Peter Howell and the sculptors, Edwin Russell and Lorne McKean, she asked Bernard Saunders, the founder of the show, to advise her of where she could train, and thus, she went on to do her apprenticeship with the sculptors Edwin and Lorne. A highlight was to exhibit next to Peter at Art in Action 25 years later.
