You can book your class with Eventbrite (below). If your desired session is no longer available, this is because the online tickets have sold out. However, tickets for all of the classes will also be available on the day at the Practical Classes Tent – get in early though, tickets sell out fast!
Junior Practical Classes are available for children aged 4 – 10 years and run throughout the four days of the event. Tickets are £6.00 each.
Three Daily Sessions :
- 11.00 am – 12.00 pm
- 1.30 pm – 2.30 pm
- 3.00 pm – 4.00 pm

Felt Picture Making | Jill Denton | 4 – 7 | Using only wool fibres, soap and water, we will be creating a beautiful little picture from handmade felt. |
Mosaic Making | Aimee Harman | 4 – 7 | Children will be creating a mosaic handprint of their own or their parents handprint using different materials to create this precious and beautiful keepsake. Aimee has her mosaic kits on sale in the teachers tent if any children miss out on getting onto a workshop. |
Needle Felting | Eve Maria Kelly | 6 – 10 | Eve Maria Kelly will teach how to needle felt pictures and make 3D toys with templates, starting off with colouring the wool with bee’s wax crayons. |
Pottery Handbuilding | Gilly Whittington | 4 – 7 | We aim to give the children an introduction to the handling of clay, using various techniques. They will learn to join, shape and make patterns and imprints on the clay, as they build a piece that they can take home with them that has included all the different methods. |
Printing Experiments! | Sarah Scott | 4 – 7 | Fun printing experiments exploring colour. Create your own printing plate and print your own paper. A variety of tools, including rollers, sponges and stencils will be used. Learn about different printing processes including monoprint. |
Watercolour Painting | Georgina Melville | 4 – 7 | A simple introduction in the use of colour and composition. *Class only Friday, Saturday and Sunday |
Weaving | Julia Complin | 6 -10 | Fun and exciting weaving activities for children aged 6 – 10 years. Using lots of colourful recycled materials, learn how to weave a piece of art you can take home with you. There will also be opportunities to have a go on a 4 shaft table loom. |
