The Natural Beekeeping Trust is at the forefront of the global movement of bee-centred beekeeping. It’s work for the bees has been widely featured on television and many other international media. There will be demonstrations of various innovative hives, such as the iconic Sun Hive, Matthew Somerville’s log hives, and, conditions permitting, a live hive. The Bee Marquee will contain a fascinating exhibition, with demonstrations of hive making and bee-friendly plants and seeds. There will be talks about the latest developments in bee-centred beekeeping throughout the day. Speakers include: Gareth John, Jonathan Powell, Heidi Herrmann, Peter Brown and John Haverson. Visitors will gain a sense of what can be done, individually and communally, to be of service to the bees.
