Words and text are often part of her weave; as a starting point for her work, for meaning and also their shape and solidity. She has been weaving and incorporating text as lengths of narrow fabric, building up the letters thread by thread on an inkle loom. Writing on Kozo paper, this may also be directly woven into her silk warp.
